Giant container ship going from China trapped in Suez Canal, long traffic jam at sea

 Cairo:   Egypt's Suez Canal is blocked by a huge container ship. This container ship was carrying goods from China. A huge traffic jam, called Ever Given, got stuck in the Suez Canal causing a huge traffic jam.

It may take several days to remove

It is being told that this container ship got stuck after losing control, causing a long jam of cargo vessels in the sea. A ship 400 meters long and 59 meters wide got stuck while crossing the canal north of Suez Port on Tuesday morning. Tug boats have been deployed on a large scale to remove it. Tug boats are meant to push ships. However, it is feared that it may take several days to remove this container ship. 

Let us tell you that the 193.3 km long Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea. 

Long jams of ships 

A large number of ships are jammed on the sides of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea due to the trapped container ship. Every day thousands of small big ships go from Europe to Asia and from Asia to Europe via this canal. For a long time, this path can be troublesome and the ships will have to travel all over the continent of Africa to Europe.

Lost control due to tornado 

The container ship Ever Given is a Panama ship. The ship was built in 2018, which is operated by the Taiwanese transport company Evergreen Marine. The container ship was heading to Port Rotterdam, the Netherlands after loading cargo from China and it chose the route of the Suez Canal to sail from the Indian Ocean to Europe, but got stuck north of Suez Port at about 7:40 local time on Tuesday morning . 

According to the report, the crew of Ever Given reported that their ship turned around due to a strong tornado of air while crossing the Suez Canal. Later, when an attempt was made to straighten it, it stopped the entire traffic by walking across the width of the canal.
